black dog oceanLast year  I lost my job. Ten years at one company and my anniversary gift is unemployment. I immediately knew that all the networking I had done for my job was the key to my next career. Small talk always lead to loyal clients. Monster.com was not the answer. I shouldn’t have been surprised at the loss. Workload was slow and I had plenty of time to volunteer with the animal [......]

How did you feel when you got your own first Follow Friday mention? Its pretty  good feeling, right?

  • A Follow Friday where you are mentioned with a comment as to WHY you should be followed, is like an Oscar nod.
  • Receiving more followers from a Follow Friday mention, is like taking home the statue. They like me! They really like me!

I was reading a great blog the other day  called Social Media Scene Kids. It’s about stereotypes who are hooked on Blogging, Twitter, Facebook etc. It got me thinking, what types  have NOT jumped into the deep end of social media?

My husband points out to me his idea  of   non-social media types : “Have a Life” , “Normal”,  “Able to Get Dates”, and “Have ‘Relations’ Regularly”.  F[......]

Lame: You read, leave no comments, or simply say, “Great post!”
Better: You comment on Facebook or ReTweet.
Now We’re Talking: You leave a quick comment right on the blog web page expanding on or even challenging the blog post. You [......]
