How cool would it be to tell your boss you aren’t comin’ back to work on Twitter? That’s what Jonathan Schwartz, CEO of Sun Microsystems did.

So the next day he tweets that he wants to write a book about the experience and asking his followers to tell what they want him to write about. He even has a hashtag to get the buzz going. #jonathanbook
There’s a problem.
He has over 10,000 followers but is only following (as of to[......]

I was reading a great blog the other day called Social Media Scene Kids. It’s about stereotypes who are hooked on Blogging, Twitter, Facebook etc. It got me thinking, what types have NOT jumped into the deep end of social media?

My husband points out to me his idea of non-social media types : “Have a Life” , “Normal”, “Able to Get Dates”, and “Have ‘Relations’ Regularly”. F[......]

Social media is a 2 way street: It’s not just about you. It’s about engaging with your community through comments. How do you compare?

Lame: You read, leave no comments, or simply say, “Great post!”
Better: You comment on Facebook or ReTweet.
Now We’re Talking: You leave a quick comment right on the blog web page expanding on or even challenging the blog post. You [......]

C’mon, fess up. Tell me, how often do you tip at Starbucks? How may weeks of orders does it take before you no longer notice the tip jar? (my favorite, the paper tip cup, scribbled with “Tips for College Fund”). Recently I was at Starbucks where this was on the counter:

I usually have a hard time dropping cash into a tip jar when I live by a debit card. However, this time I found myself digging deep into my handbag to see w[......]
