We Google Buzz users, through behavior shifts, are contributing to defining what’s important in the future of social media. Are we GeeBee’s being monitored by the Google “Others” to see how we organize our followers, what content we respond to, and so on?

I love this post that I found while buzzin’ around my Gmail. I follow Chris Brogan, who commented on Christopher S Penn’s “Awaken Your SuperHero” Blog: “Why Google Buzz is brilliant and Deadly to Social Media 1.0“. Penn implies that Google Buzz will force us to be relevant & authentic. Penn reminds us that  Google is a data company and watching to see what we view as important.

We define what’s important when forced to organize our own social media space. Data Big Daddy Google  might have a huge psycho-graphic repository goldmine.

I do like that Google Buzz has the essence of  a  Facebook home wall for many social sites and in the same space as my inbox. (Buzz is also similiar to FriendFeed. I rarely go to FriendFeed, although I do love it  for social bookmarking.

For now, I’m using Google Buzz to follow only particular people.  I am hopeful. If  they can eventually mix PeopleBrowsr-like analytics and Tweet Deck list organization I will get a Buzz tattoo! (OK, OK … Thats a bit premature, but I am looking for the perfect one-stop social media shop!)

What social site will you get a Tattoo of?

  1. Personally I fiddled with it, and I don’t see it bringing anything new to the table. The second problem is what you talked about, google is a datamining company and getting that level of access to our life, might as well mean we let them put a chip in our hands so we can inform the world what we’re doing/thinking 24/7
