This is my biggest challenge in suggesting social media to clients. I live on the Mississippi Coast and work with many decision makers who have been here their entire lives and want to do things the way they've been done forever. As some of us in our Young Professionals call this pschographic: PMS. Pale, male, and stale! Very few here have yet to embrace social media, but as more Coast non-profits are getting on board, I think the tide may be turning.

PS-I love that you interviewed men-on-the-street. Nice touch!

You know I used to think the same way as your husband, I was like all geeks / nerds / are online and only deal with stuff online....however..as you already know Cara I am very Tech savvy myself now these days. It alls tarted when I started gaming online...I was very popular back in the highschool days but I played games online and would not tell my friends. I then started noticing that hot chics in my school were playing the same games with me online!! Not only that but the Jocks and Surfers were getting into online games...the Myspace and facebook blew up and it was all over then. Maybe back in the 50's and 60's geeks are unpopular....but now adays if my generation doesn't have a Myspace or Facebook they were considered lame...its the normal now and I love it!! :-)
